Richard and his wife Tanja run “Equestrian Success and Mindset”, a business which focuses on improving the thoughts, focus and emotional confidence of the rider as a foundational aspect of riding.
Richard does this in a unique way with background and experience in a variety of areas:
As a rider, Richard was short listed for the Seoul Olympic Games eventing team in 1988 as well as the 1986 and 1994 World Championships. He was based in an English eventing centre from 1991-1995 where he rode and instructed full time.
As an instructor, Richard has an Australian NCAS level 2 in eventing and general as well as a British BHSI (level 3). He has a passion for teaching cross country riding.
Finally as a chiropractor, he has worked with many riders over the years to assist them after injuries and to improve their position.
Richard is uniquely positioned to bring his experience, professional training and understanding of biomechanics to all walks of horsemanship. With a keen interest in the biomechanics of riding and an eye for detail, Richard is fast becoming an expert in this field.
